We See Equal

Many of our products are made uniquely for women and men. We have deep insights into their lives, their challenges, and their aspirations. So when it comes to the gender bias they face, it’s up to us to help change the narrative.

In 2017, we launched this gender equality campaign to show the world as we see it—equal. It’s been viewed millions of times in more than 180 countries and was named one of the most inclusive ads of 2017 by the Association of National Advertisers (ANA).

Advertising & media

The ANA found that 28% of ads portray women negatively. As one of the biggest advertisers in the world, we leverage our powerful voice to help break down stereotypes and motivate change.

Always #MyFutureStartsToday

Always aims to empower girls across Pakistan with self-confidence to pursue their dreams. Through the Always #MyFutureStartsToday campaign 30 girls won educational scholarships and 4 winners spent a day with their role models and Always ambassadors of confidence, Naseem Hameed and Amna Ilyas.

Always #LikeAGirl

50% of girls experience a huge drop in confidence at puberty—and never get it back. Always set out to change the profound effect words can have on girls at that age, starting with a phrase commonly used as an insult.

Fairy #MakeItFair

In the U.K., 70% of women still do all the household chores. So Fairy decided to remove the “y” from their iconic logo, to remind every family member to do their part and pledge to #MakeItFair.

Ariel #ShareTheLoad

In India, 70% of children believe it’s a woman’s responsibility to do the laundry—a belief deeply rooted in their culture. Our leading detergent set out to change that gender bias…and prompted more than 2 million men to sign a petition to help out with housework.

SK-II #ChangeDestiny

SK-II put the spotlight on Chinese women who feel society’s pressure to get married before age 25, but challenged that stereotype to pursue their dreams.

Education & economic opportunities

Every girl deserves access to education. And as a woman, she deserves to live to her fullest potential. Economic equality can only make our world stronger. Through our company and brand impact programs, we’re helping to make gender equality possible.

Always School Education Program

In Pakistan the Always School Education Program has reached over 9 million Pakistani girls with essential health and hygiene education to date.

Education Access for Underprivileged Children

P&G’s partnership with HOPE and READ Foundation has educated over 7000 underprivileged Pakistani children to date of which nearly 4000 are girls.

Economic Empowerment of Women

P&G has partnered with HOPE and UN Women for women’s skill-development and girls’ education in the country. This program is expected to benefit an estimated 10,000 women and girls over a 3-year period in areas such as Badin, Sujawal, Thatta, Gadap, Ghagger, Muzaffargarh and Sialkot.
